Living between languages can make it hard to find the right therapeutic support. This is an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) group in Berlin, led entirely in English — whether you grew up with it or simply find it easier to do this kind of work in your own words. It is open to everyone: statutory and private insurance as well as self-pay.
This is a dedicated ACT group — a single, coherent approach, not a mix of methods. ACT is an evidence-based form of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Rather than trying to argue your way out of difficult thoughts and feelings, ACT helps you change your relationship to them: making room for what’s painful while taking steady steps toward the things that matter to you.
The group works with practical, experiential exercises — mindfulness, values work, and small committed actions between sessions — alongside others facing similar struggles.
The group can be a good fit if you’re dealing with, for example:
Whether it’s right for you specifically is something we look at together in an initial consultation.
Next group: currently forming — join the waitlist via a consultation below.
The group is open regardless of how you’re insured. We confirm the right route for you in the consultation, so you don’t need to sort it out beforehand.
Runs as guideline-based group psychotherapy. If an indication is confirmed in the consultation, your statutory insurance covers the treatment.
Covered according to your plan; you receive an invoice in line with the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ).
We agree on a fee in advance and discuss the details together in the consultation.
A pre-group consultation is required in every case; there is no direct group booking. It’s also simply a chance to meet, ask questions, and see whether this feels right for you. The booking screen itself is in German, but it’s short — pick a time and leave your details.
